Hi Erika!

I know it’s been a while since we emailed, but I got some photos recently that I think you’d like to see. A recent assignment to Mauritania from London was interrupted when the plane had to make an emergency landing. Shortly after, I sheltered on an island during that huge tropical storm. I didn’t get any wildlife photos this time, but I made these images of the storm making landfall. They’re a reminder of how small humans are compared to the world. I think about that whenever I look at them. I have a feeling National Geographic’s readers would be moved, too.
